First Annual BPW Beginner Bike Rally
I posted on Utah Mountain Biking awhile ago that I was interested in something like this, and it is sort of falling together.
This is going to be a really open format. I chose Lambert because it's got the most entry level stuff, from flat dirt roads, to smooth singletrack. And tougher stuff if people get excited. Ideally, kids will ride together in approximate age groups with adults to help, and encourage.
I'm pretty excited about this, hopefully there are other people who are too.
This is what I've got so far.
Saturday, Oct 3, 3 pm
Lambert Park, Bowery Pavillion.
Pizza, and S'mores afterward.
I just registered this event as an official IMBA Take A Kid Mountain Biking event. On Oct 3, there will be events like this all over the country and the world.This is an international effort to get kids on bikes, there will be some schwag for the kids who come from IMBA. I tentatively told IMBA there would be approximately ten kids. I have no idea how accurate this is.If you are planning to come, please let me know BEFORE SEPT 15th!!!! so I can amend the numbers if necessary.

Anybody and everybody is welcome. Especially kids, but also adults who are new to mountain biking or your wife that's cranky about all the time you spend on your bike instead of with her. But also adults who love mountain biking and want to pass that along to a bunch of kids.
